On August 3rd rehearsals for ÖVER MUREN, UNDER HAVET (Over the wall, under the sea) commenced at Uusi Teatteri, a small Finnish language theatre in Stockholm. ÖVER MUREN, UNDER HAVET is a futuristic mini-musical that tells the story of three young musicians trying to survive in a world destroyed by global warming. The rehearsals are conducted in Swedish but a Finnish version of the play will be rehearsed after the Swedish version opens on the 26th September.
As you may know, Sweden has chosen a more relaxed way to address the pandemic with many theatres reopening for live performances this month. However, it is still strange to step into a rehearsal room after having been away from the theatre for so long and with the pandemic still very much going on. But working with a talented, dedicated and communicative team has made the process easy.
