ABOUT

Charissa Martinkauppi is a Swedish/Finnish-British director and writer with both Sweden and the UK as her base. She creates playful, politically charged theatre and film, often combining the subtleties of Finnish melancholia with theatricality and absurd humour.

 

She is a Theatre Studies graduate of Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts and completed a master's degree in Drama Directing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in July 2019.
